DHI Hair Transplant in Turkey

DHI hair transplant method is one of the application methods used in hair transplant operations, which is one of the most preferred operations in recent years. DHI method, also known as the “pen technique” or “direct hair transplantation” is a method of application, not a hair transplant technique. Although the DHI method is a new method of application, it is highly preferred due to the advantages it provides. DHI Hair Transplant is a method in which healthy hair follicles selected and collected from the donor area are placed in the planting area with the help of special pens.

The canal is quickly opened with the DHI pen, and the graft is then inserted into the canal. In other words, unlike the FUE method, grooving and root placement occur in one go.

Who are Suitable Candidates for DHI Hair Transplant?

The DHI method of hair transplantation first emerged at Kyungpook National University (KNU) in Korea. Doctors specialized in the field of hair transplantation have researched to better understand this technique and, according to the results of the research, they concluded that not everyone is suitable for hair transplant with the Choi pen, which was first developed, and thought that this practice is a difficult method.

They cited as an example the damage of this condition, especially during the placement and transplantation of fine-wired and curved hair follicles at the implant tip. In future experiments, this issue was resolved by creating implanter pens that were appropriate for people with a wider variety of hair types, not just Asians with straight, thick hair.

The thicknesses of the Choi implanter pens used today differ widely from 0.64 mm to 1.2 mm. As a result, today, in light of scientific and technological developments, hair transplants can be done much more safely with Choi tips to anyone who wishes.

What are the Advantages of DHI Hair Transplantation?

In hair transplant using the DHI application method, hair follicles can be transplanted more densely. Planting will seem much more organically done this way. Using the medical pen, which also drills holes in the transplant area, makes it simpler to assess the hair follicles' planting angle. Thus, the operation's damage is minimal. In this non-incision application technique, bleeding is essentially non-existent.

The recovery process moves quite quickly due to the limited damage that the operation results in. DHI method does not harm existing hair. It provides the chance of direct transplant to the required area, also an extra advantage to people whose hair loss is not completed. Since grooving and root placement may be done simultaneously, grafts can be planted in less time.  In hair transplant using the DHI application method, hair follicle loss is minimal during and after the operation.
